On October 26, Institute of Turkish Studies held its inaugural reception with guests from the DC Policy, Business, Academic, and Political Communities.

The guests were invited to our panel, "The United States and Turkey: Difficult Region, Shifting Alliances, and Complicated Interests". Georgetown University School of Foreign Service Dean Joel Hellman introduced the event.

ITS Chairman, and Former US Ambassador to Turkey, Ross Wilson moderated the panel, which featured ITS Board of Governors member Steven Cook, Senior Middle East Fellow at Council on Foreign Relations (CFR), and Center for American Progress Senior Fellow Alan Makovsky.

The panel was followed by a cocktail. We would like to thank all panelists, and the attendees.
