The Syrian Civil War:
 Implications for Turkey and the Kurds

Panelists: Dr. Kemal Kirişci, Dr. Denise Natali

The MENA Forum and The Institute of Turkish Studies are hosting a panel and discussion on the current state of the Syrian conflict.

Dr. Kemal Kirişci is the TÜSİAD senior fellow and director of the Center on the United States and Europe's Turkey Project at Brookings Institute. Dr. Kirişci will speak more broadly on the current state of the Syrian conflict, and discuss his recent trip to Syria.

Dr. Denise Natali holds the Minerva Chair at the Institute for National Strategic Studies, National Defense University. She has lived and researched extensively in the Kurdish regions of Iraq, Turkey, and Syria. Dr. Natali will discuss the Kurdish role in the Syrian conflict, and will shed light on the opportunities and challenges facing Kurds in the region today.
