Serpil Betül Sancar is a professor in political sciences and gender studies in Ankara University, Faculty of Political Science. Her most recent book is titled Gender of Turkish Modernization: Men for StateBuilding, Women for Family-Building. She teaches courses on Political Sociology, Global Political Dynamics and Social Movements, Gender Regime of Turkish Modernization History, Gender and Political Theory and Gender Equality Policies.
